🌊 Fishing Conditions

San Juan River (Quality Waters)
Flows have stabilized, and fishing has been productive. Anglers are having success with midges and Baetis patterns. Don't overlook leeches and streamers for targeting larger trout.Ā

Rio Grande
The river is fishing well with decreased flows and clearer water. Trout fishing remains good until water temperatures rise. Smallmouth bass activity is increasing, and pike fishing is fair; using large streamers with a wire or shock tippet is recommended.

Pecos River, Jemez River, and Chama River
These rivers are providing excellent fishing opportunities. Anglers are reporting great catches, making it an ideal time to explore these waters.

Abiquiu Reservoir
Fishing is good for smallmouth bass and carp. However, flows below Abiquiu Dam have increased, and conditions are expected to degrade through the summer. It's advisable to fish elsewhere until fall.Ā

Cochiti Reservoir
Anglers are experiencing fair fishing for bass, pike, and carp.Ā
